VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHT: Cindy and Steve

Cindy and Steve both came from hardworking families that made enormous sacrifices that they could have a college education and open up opportunities for them. They also serve faithfully in their churches which instilled in them an important example for Christian service. Both of them spend the majority of their retired life volunteering - at The Stewpot, North Texas Food Bank and Meals on Wheels. With a love of basketball you'll also catch them at Mavericks games from time to time.

At the Stewpot you'll find them serving meals at The Bridge primarily. They really appreciate how organized The Stewpot is and the instilled opportunities to serve "their neighbors in need."

To those who haven't tried out volunteering at The Stewpot they have these words: "Is is so rewarding, fun and you will meet a lot of people when you serve. Beyond that, it is a privilege to be able to serve. Join us!."
